AWC Visual Identity: 72/24 Color Wheel & Fonts / Identidad Visual AWC (72% Rojo / 24% Turquesa)

In Plain English: Reading Navigation Guide

Before you read the details below, here is the short version: The AWC 72/24 Visual Identity combines Arizona Western College's official Matador Red and Sky Stone Turquoise with a 9:1 accessibility contrast override. We pair deep maroon header fills (#680014), Matador Red structural borders (#BA0C2F), and Sky Stone Turquoise badges (#2CCCD3 with #000000 text) across every Canvas page. Students get an unmistakable, mobile-friendly Arizona Western College visual experience that passes strict WCAG 2.2 AA and 9:1 contrast checks.

All EXW course shells, micro-tools, and student handouts strictly follow the Arizona Western College Brand & Marketing Quickstart Guide harmonized with our 9:1 Double-Contrast Accessibility Guard.

The 72/24 Color Wheel Ratio (Harmonized for 9:1 Contrast) / Proporción de Color 72/24

To maintain institutional consistency without sacrificing visual acuity, the EXW fleet enforces the following color distribution:

Matador Red (#BA0C2F — 72% Brand Dominance) & Deep Maroon (#680014 — 13.14:1 Contrast Fill): Used for primary structural borders (#BA0C2F) and high-contrast header banners and inline text accents (#680014 on white/light surfaces).
Sky Stone Turquoise (#2CCCD3 — 24% Secondary Accent): Used for callout borders, divider rules, and pill badges paired strictly with pure black text (#000000, 10.68:1 contrast). Never place white text on turquoise or turquoise text on white.
Neutral Structural Support (#707372 Gray Borders, #111827 Ink, & #FFFFFF / #F8FAFC Surfaces — 4%): Used for clean table borders, high-contrast body typography (17.7:1), and card surfaces.
